Today we are supposed to go to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha. But because me and some of my friends come back home very late last night, we can't wake up early and we have to cancel our trip to Lantau Island. So we changed our itinerary to go to The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) in Kowloon. First I didn't know what place this is, but my design friend says that this building is designed by a well known architect. As a design student, it's my pleasure to see beautiful design so we decided to go here first.
The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) is the new home for the university's design students which offers a creative environment. The tower consists of lecture hall, classrooms, design studios and workshop spaces and exhibition areas. This is the first building from well known architect Zaha Hadid in Hong Kong. Zaha Hadid is the founder of Zaha Hadid Architects and she was the first women to be awarded with the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. Hopefully this school can make the design industry in Hong Kong to be more creative and innovative, also it can influence all the designers around the world as well.
